Here are some of the basics: 1. Choose the right PoolRx unit/s and boosters (if needed) based on total gallons. See sizing chart.2. Start with a clean filter3. Place PoolRx unit in the pump basket or skimmer4. Be sure to run pump for at least 3 hours after install, so minerals can dissolve completely. 5. Maintain normal Pool chemistry, with a least 0.5-1.0ppm of free chlorine 6. Leave PoolRx unit in the pump basket or skimmer for the year, so minerals can be rejuvenated when they pass over it. 7. Minerals last up to 6 months. (Only add Booster minerals if/when needed) i.e. Longer seasons, Larger pools above 30K gallons, or extreme conditions. 8. Replace the PoolRx unit at the beginning of each season for best results.
So, you will know it’s time to add Booster minerals if: -It’s been 6 months since you first installed PoolRx. -Your chlorine demand is going back up. (means the minerals have been use up and the micro algae is able to grow, and it’s consuming your chlorine faster) -Your water is cloudy / dull-You see any hint of algae. You will see a gradual decline over about a 2 week period of time, so you will have plenty of time to add Booster minerals. The Booster minerals will rejuvenate as they pass over the original PoolRx unit. The unit is only effective for one year in the water to rejuvenate PoolRx minerals. Over time, the specially treated alloy cylinder inside the unit loses its connectivity with the minerals. For best results start with a new PoolRx unit at the beginning of each season. PoolRx is eliminating and preventing all types of algae, even the micro algae you can’t see.So it will take you less chlorine to reach your desired ppm. With PoolRx, there is no need for phosphate removers, clarifiers or other algaecides. PoolRx provides algae free, crystal clear water, using less chlorine and other chemicals.
